J7 - craft number 1127 Eagle Yamaha 250 TZR at final testing on a local airfield (Stubton Park) The operator of the airstrip, Mr Wilkes, used to go crop spraying in a 4 tonne twin Deutz diesel hovercraft so is pretty friendly to hovercrafters.

The aerial attached to the crafts visor is for the Satellite Navigation system used for checking speed and performance whilst we were setting blade angles.

Behind me is Tim Shaws F2 Python Rotax getting ready for its first runs.

Mr Wilkes was killed in a microlight accident whilst we were away racing in France. Without his kindness in letting us use his airstrip for testing I doubt that we would have been so successful this year.
