Please download and save the videos for your personal use rather than repeatedly play them from the site. This will save bandwidth and enable other hovercraft enthusiasts to enjoy the amazing antics of hovercraft racers.

20/10/04 CodyBankssmall.wmv 2.2mb file. Hovercraft clips from the film Agent Cody Banks - Destination London - driving the Hovercraft was me. The camera angle did not do justice to the track we were using. We (Ken Rigley and I) were transitioning to land at speed into the wood and had to wriggle the craft between quite closely spaced trees whilst slowing.

18/08/03 rother03close race.wmv 1.86 mb file. A sample of the hectic racing at Rother Valley

18/08/03 rotherDT03.wmv 2.18 mb file.  Dan Turnbull rolling at Rother Valley

03/08/03 claydon 0305.wmv 1.72 mb file Daniel N catching air off Dan T and flipping

03/08/03 claydon 0304.wmv 12 mb file A 360 degree view of a lap of Claydon

03/08/03 claydon 0303.wmv 3.2 mb file Front runners in "two up racing" at the transition

03/08/03 claydon 0301.wmv 4.51 mb file Water straight at Claydon. Wind on this stretch can be variable and catch you out as Daniel Turnbull finds out

12/07/03 black ditch withy bend.wmv 3.32mb file. Turn up the volume and enjoy!

12/07/03 black ditch overtaking 1.85mb file. Luke demonstrating how to get past at Black Ditch Pond. It was important to keep a tight line round Withy bend and take a no holds barred approach to the transition.

black ditch transit 2.wmv 1.4 mb file - The transit to land was up a steep long bank that made an excellent launch pad !!!! The clip was taken at last years visit to Black Ditch. This year the leaps were even higher.

01/06/03 rob gw03.wmv 3.75mb file. Rob Trussler (22) Brian White (17) and I dicing..... To get past Brian was not easy, I was dodging all over his thrust air, risky thing to do, whilst Rob tried to get inside him...........

10/05/03 eh chase lz jakes03.wmv 3.5mb file. The start of this video is the point where the F1's were radar trapped at 55mph going into the down hill chicane. The camera angle makes the hill flatter and the corner more open than it really was. If you have ever driven a hovercraft you will know that any kind of camber or incline can be chanllenging. This was The Shade (aka Jakes Place) with me chasing Daniel Newton and Luke Sedzikowski.

04/05/03 dandan theshade03.wmv 1.2mb file. Dan Newton clips the bale on the apex and is ejected from his craft which stops side on, on the racing line. Dan Turnbull had nowhere to go and runs over the craft which launches his craft into a barrel roll, with it landing on top of him. Apart from the spectacular shunt, the really impressive thing of this video is the marshalling. Race safety decisions quickly and correctly executed and assistance given in seconds. Time it for yourself in this video, how long from the incident until the red flag, (which is waved at every point on the course simultaneously) was shown (just visible on the right of the frame being shown to Luke Sedikowski No.6)? Is the the best marshalling in the World or not!

04/05/03 robin theshade03.wmv 0.56mb file. Robin Brickles caught thrust air off the craft in front and combined with a stiffish breeze over he went. Easily done on the the first day of the event. I think all of us had a scare at some point, with varying luck and out come. My scare ended with me already tensing for a nasty tumble when the craft left front corner dug in on landing, after the vertical pirouette, righted the craft and enabled me to continue, suitably chastened. We have it on video, maybe I will show it later, but for now Robin is in the Hall of Fame.

25/03/03 carnforth02 large.wmv 3.5mb file - no sound. If you have seen Paulz Hovercraft Collection video for 2002 you will have seen him taking the "mickey" out of me with lots of video editing!. Here is the real story from the "on board" camera!! I was lucky to avoid the boulder on the apex of the corner. Film, kindly supplied by Paul Taylor.

17/11/02  rise2.wmv 2.5mb file - As a public relations exercise I had to throw the craft around a loading bay at the back of Sky Sports studios for live UK National Channel 4 TV. Because the craft could be heard "on air" back inside the building, I could only do a couple of practise runs the previous night in the pitch dark!! The cameras make the area look much bigger than it actually was!!!

Full LeMans start.wmv 3.39mb file - Run across the track and then Two Up racing ! Rachael Gifford the co-driver. Even with a passenger the lap times were only a few seconds off the F1 lap record.
